Members' Facilities
The RainbowZebra Creative Community is a platform for people interested the art of creative expression, whether as an artist of one kind or another or as an appreciator of that expression.. In most cases members are likely to fall into both categories in one way or another.
A MEMBERSHIP OF £10 A YEAR
Gives Members Access to::
  • Community Forums: Members have access to the Community Forums where they can post information or reply to posts already up. Non-members may be able to read the Forums but will not be able to participate in discussions, add information or communicate with anyone via the Community messaging systems.
  • Forums: there are Forums on: Architecture, Craft, Dance, Design, Drama, Film, Music, Photography, Visual Arts and Writing.
  • Chat Rooms: Members can use the member-only chat-room facilities.
  • Community Messaging System: Members can communicate with each other via the Community Messaging System.
  • Search Facilities: Members can use the Community Search Engine to search for posts covering specific information - or for finding another member with specific criteria. *
  • Personal Gallery Space: Members are also given their own Gallery space, and a personal Control Panel where they can upload images and add captions and info, and organize collections of images into individual Albums.
  • Personal Blog: Members are given their own Blog space, where they can post a running journal or cover any information that interests them. They can upload photos, video and sound here if desired.
  • Web Mail: Members are given an email address@rainbowzebra.com with their own Web Mail account and a choice of 3 Webmail programs to use: Neomail, Horde and Squirrel Mail. If possible, the email address will correspond with the Member's name in the Community. If this is not possible, the member will be contacted to make an alternative choice. Email accounts are usually provided in the second week of membership but may be available earlier.
  • Visual Images, Sound and Video files can be uploaded, so Musicians can post samples of their music, along with any interesting related information they wish to share, and Poets can post spoken poetry up in the Poetry sections etc.
  • Submitting a Profile of yourself will enable others with similar interests to find and contact you, if wished. You can use your Community name and messaging facilities, so your personal details are protected from all except those you choose to share them with.**
  • Community Shopping Area: this will be developed over time, with facilities such as an Online Bookshop with a wide variety of second-hand art-related books. Among other things, we will also be opening Gallery space here with Shopping-Cart and Online Payment facilities.
MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO:
  • Participate in the Community:
  • Make Suggestions about what they would like to have available in their Community.
  • Share their expertise with others when possible and appropriate.
  • Participate in maintaning acceptable standards of behaviour online, and report any contraventions of Community Rules to the Admin.
**Remember the web is unfortunately full of people with questionable intentions who may use your details destructively. The web is also full of very interesting and friendly people of integrity. Be smart enough to make sure you know who you're dealing with before sharing too much personal information such as any form of address or phone or other contact information. There is also a function which enables members to block another member from contacting them - to be used in extreme and hopefully rare cases. 
2. ARTLOVERS: THE MEETING PLACE
Artist? Artlover? Art Collector? Search Here.
You can search this site for free to find people you would like to contact. Perhaps you would like to meet another Artist or Musician and get together for a Painting Holiday or put together a Rock Band. Reading the profiles of other people using the resource should give you a good idea if the any of them meet your specifications.

If you decide you would like to contact somebody on the site, you create an account and pay the registration fee.
  You are then able to contact any of the other people whose profiles are on the site.and search for others who meet your specifications, stating the type of relationship you require, eg: professional, employer, employee, friendship, romance etc. You can also create a profile of yourself to enable other people with similar interests to find you in a search and contact you. Users are informed if members post matching criteria. There are:
  • Separate Chat Facilities here, where you can spend time getting to know people
  • A Messaging System to communicate with other people using the site, without having to reveal personal contact details such as email etc unless you are certain you want to.
  • Facility to Post some Pictures
  • Facility to Post video clips about yourself or your interests.
AN OPTIONAL FACILITY
This meeting facility is optional to Members of the RainbowZebra Community and can also be used by non-members.

Users are informed if members post matching criteria. There are separate chat facilities here, and a messaging system to communicate with other people using the site. There is also the facility to post some pictures or video material about yourself or your interests.
